New Space for Innovation and Start-Up – TusStar-Maker Park
In early 2016, Pixian Government specially created TUS Star and constructed the TUS Star-Maker Park in Jingrong Town to boost Pixian’s path toward innovation and entrepreneurship by establishing an international incubator.
Derived from Tus-Holdings Co. Ltd in 1995, Tus Star, the first science and technology service enterprise with total assets worth over RMB100 billion, now has totally 134 innovation and start up service bases, including 73 national TusStar outlets, 30 sci-tech parks, 24 sci-tech cities and 7 overseas bases.
TusStar, formerly Tsinghua Business Incubator founded in 1999, is one of the first national level incubators recognized by Torch High Industry Development Centre, Ministry of Science and Technology and the incubator with the most complete domestic network coverage. TusStar has established the first Sino-US cross-border incubator, mainland Taiwan incubator and the largest mainland Hong Kong incubator. By the end of 2015, TusStar had totally incubated over 5,000 service enterprises on an “incubation plus investment” basis, including more than 2,000 enterprises that have successfully made it to the market.

Offices and supporting facilities meeting international standards
As the first ecological and garden international incubator in China, “TusStar-Maker Park” is built in the style of Western Sichuan gardens and its offices and supporting facilities follow international construction standards. With a land area of 108 mu (1 hectare = 15 mu) and a floor space of 20,000 square meters, the park can accommodate 1,200 people. Its first phase project started trial operation in September 2016.
All start-up tenants of the “TusStar-Maker Park” will be entitles to a one year rent free period and Pixian Government’s support policies for start-ups, such as start-up grants, reward for project, reward for talents, housing subsidies, etc.

“TusStar-Maker Park” is equipped with a professional incubation team consisting of overseas returnees and professionals experienced in start-up incubation. Together with the government of Pixian County they can provide overseas projects with one-stop services including company registration, visa processing, personnel placement, recruitment, application for government start-up capital, etc.
“TusStar-Maker Park” will regularly hold varied brand entrepreneurial activities, aiming at providing entrepreneurs and team members with professional and systematic entrepreneurship workshops ranging from general entrepreneurship education to in-depth expert consultation.
“TusStar-Maker Park” gathers hundreds of professional service organizations covering intellectual property, legal, finance and tax services. Technology R&D, marketing management and other fields; and can provide enterprises under incubation with abundant human resources from the 19 colleges and universities located in Pixian County.
Relying on the TusStar-Maker-Park helps entrepreneurs save manpower and time cost to tap into domestic and overseas markets. We will also help enterprises under incubation to access multiple investment institutions and financial institutions at home and abroad, and provide a full range of financial services including financing and loans.

To feel good both physically and mentally, expand thinking and generate inspiration while working to start a business among twittering birds and blossoming flowers is the essence of our mission. In addition to the tranquillity provided by the park itself, Star-Maker organizes and hosts music festivals, start-up outreach activities and employee development camps on a regular basis to create a high quality working climate and a colourful life.
In addition, the park will bring together an international line-up of start-up projects, create a high-end start-up community, and regularly hold CEO forums, pooling resources to solve individual problems arising out of the start-up process with the collective wisdom of the start-up community.

A New Concept of Innovation and Start-Up in Southwest China – Pixian Jingrong Town
Pixian County, located in the center of the Chengdu Plain, is the birthplace of the ancient Shu kingdom civilization. Over 4,000 years ago, the ancient Shu people already built large palaces and the ancient Shu State established the capital in “Pi” more than 2,700 years ago. Through the efforts of Emperor Wang who taught people to farm and raise silkworms, and Emperor Cong who regulated rivers and watercourses as well as promoted the development of Shu, a powerful ancient Shu empire was established.
In May 2016, Chengdu Pixian County was listed as one of the first 28 demonstration bases for entrepreneurship and innovation by the State Council. Among the first 28 bases for entrepreneurship and innovation nationwide, Pixian County is the only county among the 17 regional bases.
Pixian County thoroughly implements the overall deployment on promoting mass entrepreneurship at provincial and municipal levels because of its relationships with 19 universities and 260,000 college students in the county. Using market-oriented methods, social participation and international development to create an open and integrated co-working space.
Within a period of little more than a year, Pixian has transformed innovation and start-up zones of 550,000 square meters, introduced 32 incubators, 1,206 innovation and start-up projects. We have assisted 13 enterprises to secure RMB32 million of venture capital and brought together more than 11,000 innovative and entrepreneurial professionals.
